EuroCorp has released a new trailer for Luc Besson's upcoming English-language, French-produced science-fiction film, "Lucy."
In 2069 AD, Lucy (Johansson) lives in Taipei, Taiwan, working as a drug mule in a futuristic world run by the mob, street gangs, drug addicts and corrupt cops.
The first official trailer for the film, which also stars Morgan Freeman, was released at the beginning of April.
The synopsis continues: "The drug [she] inadvertently takes goes into her system, changing her into a metahuman. She can absorb knowledge instantaneously, is able to move objects with her mind and can't feel pain and other discomforts.
Other cast members include: Amr Waked (Spiral ), Analeigh Tipton (The Power Inside), Mason Lee (The Hangover Part II ), Min-sik Choi (Battle of Myeongryang), Frédéric Chau (From Paris with Love ); and Pilou Asbæk (Borgen), who was most recently seen co-hosting the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest.
Lucy, directed by Luc Besson (The Fifth Element ), is due for a U.S. release on August 8, 2014.
