So Spacey posted a
photo of him along with the Fords, courtesy Photoshop, on Twitter. He accompanied the shot of him and the Ford brothers, on the set of their Ford Nation show, with a cut-line: "All you had to do was ask, guys. Here's your pic."
It all began March 3rd when Rob Ford flew to L.A. to appear on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' to talk about, well, whatever he's been up to the past year. Like the past year, the interview didn't go well for the embattled mayor, with Kimmel making
sport of Ford, and suggesting he get help for the issues he appears to have in his life. But that's another story.
Keven Spacey jokes Ford threw up backstage
Spacey was also a guest on the show that night and while the two did not appear on stage at the same time, they did share time backstage before the show (Spacey joked to Kimmel that he and Ford shared a dressing room and Ford threw up all over it). Doug Ford went to L.A. with his brother and what caused the negative remarks hurled at Spacey from the Fords on their Friday 'Ford Nation' episode was their claim that Spacey didn't allow pictures to be taken with him.
“Any actor who makes a living off the people that watch his shows ," Doug Ford, a Toronto councilor, said. "You can’t take a picture with him? We were told you can’t take a picture, you can’t speak to him. Who does this character think he is? He thinks he’s God?”
Spacey is not God but a two-time Academy Award winning actor (
American Beauty and
The Usual Suspects). In addition to the doctored photo of him and Rob and Doug Ford, Spacey posted an entire page of himself posing for photos - real photos this time - with fans.
