“I’m very good. I had a wonderful day so far, and the other days in New York. I had a great photo-shoot with Laura, so I am really good,” he said. “I come here a lot because I love this city and I would love to stay here as long as possible.”
On the day prior, he had the chance to see “An Act of God” on Broadway, and he shared that he is a big Jim Parsons fan. “It was brilliant, and I love him on The Big Bang Theory. He did such an amazing job on stage. Everybody who gets a chance should see this play,” he said.
Weil opened up about his latest character, Nick, on All That Matters. “When he was introduced to the show, he seemed to be this absolutely nice guy, and by now, the audience may have realized that he is not as nice as he appeared to be. That’s really nice for me as an actor: to portray a character that has two sides. There’s a lot going to happen with this character in the next few weeks.”
He is best known for playing Olivier Sabel in the soap opera Forbidden Love, which he played for 15 years. “Oliver has been a huge part of my life, and it still feels a little weird that the show is over. It got cancelled a few weeks ago, but I stopped filming in October. I loved playing this character,” he said.
For this role, Weil won multiple soap awards. “The soap awards are voted by the fans and that is really important to me. They voted me their ‘Favorite Actor’ for two years in a row, and for ‘Most Beautiful Love Couple,’ and those made me really proud. These prizes were very important,” he said.
He noted that he has visited the island of Kos in Greece. “I have been there once actually. That was beautiful, but it was many years ago. I was pretty young then and I was there for holidays, but it was very nice,” he said.
