It was a big day for the "Foxcatcher" film. It earned five Academy Awards nominations for this year's upcoming ceremony.
The film had garnered rave reviews from Digital Journal.
Steve Carell is up for "Best Actor" for his role in the film for playing the villain, Mark Ruffalo is nominated for "Best Supporting Actor" and director Bennett Miller is up for a "Best Director" Oscar. The film garnered Oscar nomination in the artistic category for "Makeup and Hair-styling," as well as for "Best Original Screenplay."
The only snub was that Tatum failed to earn a "Best Actor" nomination for his exceptional portrayal of Olympic gold medalist and wrestler Mark Schultz. He was truly superb in the role, since he brought the character to life, and built the role from within.
