article imageDean Cain admits yes, he was the first guy with Brooke Shields

By Marcus Hondro     Nov 14, 2014 in Entertainment
This might not fall under the category of important but for those interested in the life of celebs here it is: the former Superman, Dean Cain, told Fox Thursday that yeah, Brooke Shields told the truth in her new book when she said he was her first.
'There was a Little Girl'
Cain, 48, is one of the more affable Hollywood stars on record so was likely a good first for Shields, 22 at the time they went out in the mid-90s. Shields wrote about her time with Cain, and losing her virginity to him, in her newly published There Was A Little Girl: The Real Story of My Mother and Me.
Naturally with that title the former teen star talks about her Mom, Teri a lot, and their famous relationship (Mom was controlling, in case you've forgotten: "I didn't know where I began and where my mother ended, and that meant I didn't know how to fit Dean in") but she gives space to Cain, and it's all good.
"He was incredibly and painfully patient with me regarding sex," Shields writes. "But even when Mom wasn't around, I felt as if she was watching. We were always holding hands and trying to find ways to be alone and kiss, but poor guy, I made him wait and wait and my mom kept track."
For this part, Cain told Fox that "Brooke was a very big part of my life, and I'm honored to have been a part of her life."
Shields: "I got so overwhelmed"
So how was...you know, it? That Shields did not give all the goods on, but she did talk of how afterwards she didn't quite now what to do and, by the sounds of it, panicked just a bit.
"Afterwards I got so overwhelmed that I jumped out of my bed," she wrote. "I actually kind of tumbled off it and started running. I was buck naked streaking down a hallway and running like I had just stolen someone's wallet. Dean leapt up and ran after me with the comforter in his arms. He hugged me tight and asked me where I was going. I was afraid I was leaving my mother."
Shields went on to date others, including Liam Neeson, John Travolta and the late-John Kennedy Jr. and, at 32, married tennis star Andre Agassi. That didn't last and she went on to marry writer/producer Chris Henchy; they have two children. Shields' mother, Teri, died in 2012.
Cain, also a parent, continues to make films, working constantly. He recently finished a movie in Vancouver, 'Vendetta,' with Paul Wight and Michael Eklund. It's a quirky prison drama with gore directed by the identical twin Canadian sisters, Jen and Sylvia Soka (the Twisted Twins).
Cain, according to those who worked the film, despite being the star was the nicest and most approachable person on set, doubtless something that Brooke Shields wouldn't be surprised to learn.
