During the week of September 22, late-night talk show host Conan O'Brien will celebrate the music of George Harrison on 'CONAN,' with performances by Beck, Norah Jones and Dhani Harrison & Friends.
Conan O'Brien's TBS late-night show CONAN is scheduled to honor the music of Ex-Beatle George Harrison with a week of performances by his son's band and several of the hottest names in the music. Artists including Beck, Norah Jones, Dhani Harrison & Friends and a host of others are planning to stop by Stage 15 at Warner Brothers studio during the week of September 22-25 to perform a live versions of songs from from Harrison's legendary catalogue. The commemorative, week-long event coincides with the much-anticipated release of George Harrison: The Apple Years 1968-75, a major reissue of the artists' first six solo albums: Wonderwall Music, Electronic Sound, All Things Must Pass, Living In The Material World, Dark Horse and Extra Texture (Read All About It).
Available on CD and digital download on September 22, 2014, George Harrison: The Apple Years 1968-75 is designed to complement Harrison's 2004 collection, The Dark Horse Years 1976-92. The deluxe, eight-disc boxed edition spans Harrison's solo work for The Beatles' Apple Records from 1968 to 1975 (digitally remastered from the original analogue masters) and features an exclusive DVD with several video pieces:"George Harrison – The Apple Years Feature"; All Things Must Pass (bonus feature in 2001 album package); The Concert for Bangladesh EPK; "Give Me Love (Give Me Peace On Earth)' (video from Live In Japan, 1991); "Miss O’Dell" (alternative version from 2006 deluxe edition of Living In The Material World); "Sue Me Sue You Blues" (acoustic demo version from 2006 deluxe edition of Living In The Material World); Living In The Material World (feature from 2006 deluxe edition of Living In The Material World); "Ding Dong, Ding Dong" (original promo video, 1974) and Dark Horse (original promotional clip, 1974.
The Apple Years box also features an exclusive perfect-bound book with an introduction by Dhani Harrison, new essays by award-winning radio producer and author Kevin Howlett and rare, previously unpublished images.
