article imageChanning Tatum to star in new film 'Foxcatcher'

By Markos Papadatos     Jul 3, 2014 in Entertainment
Actor Channing Tatum is back in the new biographical drama film "Foxcatcher," which is one of his most serious roles to date.
It was directed by Bennett Miller (whose directing work included Capote and Moneyball), and it stars such acclaimed actors as Steve Carell and Mark Ruffalo, in addition to Tatum. The screenplay was co-written by E. Max Frye and Dan Futterman.
The film's new trailer is out, and it focuses on Channing Tatum and his portrayal of Olympic and world champion wrestler, Mark Schultz. Carell played the part of the violent multi-millionaire John Eleuthère du Pont. It tells the story of the relationship between Mark Schultz and du Pont. What makes it even more compelling is the fact that it is based on a true story.
Foxcatcher has already garnered rave reviews from such media outlets as The Village Voice and The Los Angeles Times, proving that it may be up for acting awards and accolades later on in the year.
The film debuted in competition for the Palme d'Or at the 2014 Cannes Film Festival in May 2014, where Miller took home the "Best Director Award." It will be released to movie theaters on November 14.
Judging from its trailer, this is one motion picture that should not be missed. For more information on this film, visit the Internet Movie Database (IMDB) official homepage.
