article imageCatching up with Garo Bechirian from 'Men of the Strip' Special

By Markos Papadatos     Sep 27, 2014 in Entertainment
Garo Bechirian is one of the nicest and most genuine performers of the male revue "Men of the Strip," and occasionally serves as emcee.
Bechirian shared that "Men of the Strip" is going great. "The guys are doing well and they are waiting for the next move. Everything is going great. He had chosen not to partake in the actual TV show, since he wanted to finish school," he said.
He noted the four shows at the D Las Vegas Showroom were all well-received. "The casino shows went great. It was very intense and it had a great turn-out. Hopefully, they will be there more often," he said.
Regarding the international success of their television show, Bechirian acknowledged that it is a "crazy" feeling. "You can see a tiny clip of me in the premiere in Las Vegas. Even something as little as that, it's amazing how one second you are in your living room watching TV, and the next second you are on TV nationwide, or worldwide. It's pretty intense. I was so happy for the guys, since they deserved it. It's like a stepping stone and hopefully the next move will be larger than the first," he said.
A Massachusetts native, Bechirian had nothing but the fondest memories for his late friend, fellow performer Nate Estimada. "I miss him so much. It was crazy how things happened. He was just a gentle beast. He was built like a Greek god and he was just a sweetheart. He was such a funny and cool guy," he said.
In addition to his performing, Bechirian is a licensed radiology technologist. "I had to take the test with the board of Massachusetts, so I was back in school. I take X-rays on people and the doctor reads the picture," he said.
