Carol Burnett to perform at Kupferberg Center at Queens College

Her forthcoming show at Queens College is titled “Laughter and Reflection with Carol Burnett,” and it will start at 8 p.m. It will be an intimate format, where the audience will be able to interact with the living comedic legend.

Throughout her illustrious career in acting, Burnett has been honored with awards from the Emmys (six wins), the Golden Globes, the People’s Choice Awards, the Peabody award (1962), among many other accolades. She was also nominated for two Tony awards.

In 1985, Burnett was inducted into the Television Hall of Fame. In 2003, Burnett was a recipient of the 2003 Kennedy Center Honors, and two years later, in 2005, she was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by President George W. Bush. In December of 2009, she was inducted into the California Hall of Fame

Aside from being an award-winning actress, Burnett is also a best-selling author. She has been recognized by her peers and fans for her versatile work on television, film, comedies and even on the Broadway stage. Her classic television show, The Carol Burnett Show was hailed as one of the “100 Best Television Shows of All-Time,” by Time Magazine in 2007. It ran for 11 years, and it averaged 30 million viewers each week. It won 25 Emmy awards, thus making it one of the most-honored television shows in history.
