“We know that she’s opening her eyes. That’s true. She’s opening her eyes, and there’s a few more things that she’s doing. But Krissi is doing well right now. She is,” Brown, the sister of Bobbi Kristina’s father, Bobby Brown, told Fox Atlanta 5. “There are so many signs showing us she will be okay in spite of what people are saying over the Internet.
“Krissi is fine, as I sit here before you today.”
Family are visiting Bobbi Kristina in hospital and Cissy Houston arrived in Atlanta and visited her granddaughter Tuesday. Another aunt, Bobby Brown’s oldest sister, told the New York Daily News that her niece is improving.
“She’s progressing,” Tina Brown said. “She’s getting better. We just ask for people to continue to pray.” People are doing just that and a large candlelight vigil was held outside the hospital on Monday night.
Bobbi Kristina: found in bathtub
There are other reports that Ms. Brown, found face down in a bathtub in her Atlanta home 10 days ago, will be taken off life-support and may be brain-dead. The New York Post reported “Whitney Houston sources” told them the 21-year-old would be taken off of life support Wednesday so she might die on the three-year anniversary of her mother’s death. Whitney Houston was also found unconscious in a bathtub.
Meanwhile, the Brown family, through their lawyer, released harsh words for media it says are distorting the story and reporting things that are not true, even naming some of the publications they take issue with:
“The false reports that continue to appear in print and on the internet are egregious, false and will be dealt with at an appropriate time,” their lawyer’s statement read. “In particular, the false reporting of TMZ, The National Enquirer, The Atlanta Journal Constitution and the Daily Mail (UK) citing police sources, family sources and Bobby Brown himself, will receive my attention.
“The desire to be ‘first’ has clouded the judgment of many reporters as they forgo accuracy. This is a criminal investigation and the integrity of that process requires silence.”
As for what happened, police are only saying they are continuing to investigate her boyfriend, Nick Gordon, but have not said much about what they have learned. When found she had injuries to her face but police have yet to indicate if they know how she was hurt.
They were drugs in the home, police said, and another man, a friend of Nick Gordon’s, was also there and he found her in the bathtub.
