Alec Baldwin was reportedly been arrested in New York for "riding a bike the wrong direction." The actor was biking on Fifth Avenue near 16th Street on Tuesday morning when the police officers stopped him.
In a photo from the magazine In Touch, Baldwin is seen handcuffed by a police officer. There were reports that the actor was "calm and quiet" at first, but became angry and started screaming at the police officer after he was asked for identification.
Some onlookers told the magazine, that "Baldwin went ballistic" since he didn't have any ID. Police were quoted on New York Daily News describing the actor, "He was belligerent and started yelling saying 'I don't have ID. Just give me the f--king summonses.'”
Moments after his arrest, Baldwin expressed his disappointment with the New York Police Department by posting on his Twitter account.
In his tweet, he wrote how "Officer Moreno with badge number 23388 arrested him and handcuffed him." He then said that "photographers showed up in his house and terrified his daughter, but the police did nothing."
Baldwin also said "New York is a mismanaged carnival, with stupidity and desperation; too anxious to penalized (for revenue) and criminalized those who has history of kindness and good behavior."
In a statement from Baldwin's representative, through a report in CNN, the actor is said to be in his home spending time with his family.
