article imageReview: Scotty McCreery delivers on 'See You Tonight' single and video Special

By Markos Papadatos     Mar 9, 2014 in Music
American Idol winner and country music singer Scotty McCreery is taking the country industry by storm with his single "See You Tonight."
It is the title track and lead single from his sophomore studio album. His rich, baritone vocals are reminiscent of those of country stars Kenny Chesney and Josh Turner. The song is catchy and it is worthy of the repeat button on one's mp3 players or CD players.
He co-wrote the single with such songwriters as Ashley Gorley and Zach Crowell. His music video, directed by Roman White, is one of McCreery's best music videos to date. Many male fans can relate to this tune, since they will certainly want to see their girlfriends in person as to talking to them over the phone, or see them in photographs. They will be willing to travel "a million miles" in an effort to see them tonight.
Although he is only 20 years old, his voice and tone sound a lot more mature for his age, which should be taken as a major compliment.
After a lengthy 46 weeks, it moves up one more spot to No. 8 on the Billboard Hot Country Airplay charts, for the week of March 15.
The Verdict
Overall, Scotty McCreery delivers a pleasant vocal performance on "See You Tonight." It garners 4.5 out of 5 stars, and hopefully, it will be a harbinger for bigger and better things for McCreery in the future.
