article imageReview: Eli Young Band soars on new album '10,000 Towns' Special

By Markos Papadatos     Mar 4, 2014 in Music
On March 4, country group Eli Young Band released their newest studio album "10,000 Towns" via their record label, Republic Nashville.
It opens with their chart-topping single "Drunk Last Night" and it is followed by the title track cut and their current radio single, the ultra-catchy "Dust," which ought to fare well on the radio airwaves.
"Angel Like You" is a stunning and heartfelt ballad and "Let's Do Something Tonight" also has a lot of potential that deserves to become a future single.
"Your Last Broken Heart" is one of my favorite tunes on the album and "What Does" is another exquisite ballad in this collection.
"A Lot Like Love" and the upbeat "Just Add Moonlight," were both co-written by country singer Will Hoge, and the Eli Young Band does both of these songs justice.
"Revelations" has a rock edge to it and their 11-track CD closes with the moving "Prayer for the Road."
The Verdict
Overall, the Eli Young Band delivers on their latest CD 10,000 Towns. It is recommended for all fans of the country genre of music. It garners 4 out of 5 stars.
