New character demonstration trailers have been released in preparation for the Shonen Jump fighting game "J-Stars Victory Vs." which comes out March 19.
Namco Bandai has released a couple more new character demonstration trailers for the upcoming release of its 2 vs. 2 3D fighting game called J-Stars Victory Vs. which is made in regards for the 45th anniversary of the Shonen Jump publication. This is a fighting game that features characters from the different manga titles (often adapted into anime series) in Shonen Jump. J-Stars Victory Vs. hits Japan for the Playstation 3 and Playstation Vita consoles on March 19. The first trailer features Medaka Kurokami who is the star of the anime series Medaka Box. In her demo, Medaka demonstrates a lot of hand-to-hand attacks and is able to turn “Super Saiyan” due to the change of her hair color from purple to hot pink.
Second is Toriko who is the star of the anime/manga series of the same name. In combat, Toriko uses a lot of hand-to-hand moves and a fighting style similar to Kenshiro from Fist of the North Star (who is also a playable character) in the game. Toriko, in the actual story, focuses on a combination of martial arts action and the world of the culinary arts.
Third is Johnathan Joestar from the popular manga/anime series JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. So far, he seemingly plays similar to his counterpart in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle ( also from Namco Bandai). In combat, he uses a combination of martial arts and the power of Hamon. He is the star of the first chapter of the story called “Phantom Blood.” His descendants live on as main characters in the future story arcs. As a side note, season two of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: The Animation will air this April. Dio, the main antagonist of Phantom Blood, is the main antagonist of the third chapter called “Stardust Crusaders” which covers season two.
Fourth is Meisuke “Neubee” Nueno from Jigoku Sensei Nube. He fights like his Japanese anime counterpart. In the story, he's a very kind teacher who has the ability to sense ghosts and evil spirits. While he's known as the easygoing kind teacher, Nueno uses the power of his monstrous left hand to fight against monsters and evil spirits to protect his students from harm.
Last is Taro Yamada from Chinyuki – Taro to Yukaina Nakama-tachi-. In appearance and game play style, Taro looks very weird and bizarre.
Fans of Shonen Jump and its many publications can look forward to this game soon. If you are into titles such as Bleach, One Piece, Naruto, Sket Dance or Yu Yu Hakusho, be on the lookout for this game come March 19 for both the PS3 and PSV. The game has 52 characters, from 32 titles, to choose from.
